The Honolulu City of Lights Christmas Parade has been bringing the Christmas spirit to Hawaii for over 30 years.
The parade is on the opening evening of the City Of Lights display in downtown Honolulu.
With over 20 floats for you and your family to enjoy, it is certainly not an event you want to miss out on. All of the floats are decorated according to who sponsored them.
Several city department and organizations including the Honolulu Fire department, Honolulu Police Department, YMCA all participate in the holiday parade.
School marching bands from all over the island such as Farrington High, Waialua High and Middle showed up to show their support for the Honolulu holiday tradition.
The parade itself lasts about one hour. After the parade, the floats park at the Mission Memorial and are there until 9 p.m. for pictures.
All in all, this was a festive holiday event that is a great way to welcome the holiday season.
