Radford’s Varsity Football team played their final game of the season on Oct. 26 at the home field.
Junior Kekoa Reveche, one of Radford’s offensive linemen, had a positive outlook on the team’s performance, acknowledging that while there were areas for improvement, they executed well overall. He noted, “One of the key moments that stood out to me was when we shut down their passing game. They had to abandon their aerial attack and shift to a more run-heavy approach for the rest of the game.”
Reveche saw this as a sign of the team’s defensive strength and ability to adjust under pressure. Reflecting on the game and the season as a whole, he emphasized that, “Instead of overhauling our game plan, we could’ve benefitted from continuing to focus on what had been working for us.”
He added, “Putting our heads down and continuing to work hard, while fine-tuning the things we’ve already been doing, would have helped us finish the season even stronger.”
Reveche’s takeaway was that consistency and hard work were the foundation of their success, and by staying committed to those principles, “we could’ve elevated our game even more.”
The team’s final game ended with a score of 15-24, and while the season has concluded, some players are continuing to practice on their own to stay in shape and prepare for future opportunities.
