With the holidays right around the corner, many are writing lists of their top 10 gifts, or contemplating on how to decorate their tree. What many people forget is that Christmas is also the season of giving gifts in all shapes and sizes. Through local organizations there are so many different ways to give to the less fortunate and to remind them that they are loved. One organization that puts so much hard work into holidays is “Operation Christmas Child,” which is a globally known group that focuses on children in hundreds of countries around the world. The group packages shoe boxes with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items, and delivers them all over the world to children who live in poverty.  Many of these children have never gotten a present before, nor are they able to go to school for lack of supplies.  But the boxes delivered are more than just presents to these children, they are a sense of hope. There are many other ways to provide gifts to people and other organizations that will provide you with the opportunities. This holiday season, remember to focus on giving more than receiving.
