Theresa Schubert is back at her alma mater as the new Student Activities Coordinator of Radford High School. She had worked for Farrington High School for 20 years, and decided to finish her teaching career here.
“I have been fortunate enough to have many opportunities to work events locally, in other states internationally, over the past 17 years and I love it, ” Schubert said.
Schubert just doesn’t do work all day. She loves to travel to different places with her family.
“I love to attend NFL or NBA games, or concerts,” she stated.
Inside of work, she enjoys planning and putting school activities together.
Some of her favorites in the past include: Halloween dances, campus dances with a VIP lounge section, and the continuous work of May Day. However, she has more activities planned for the future, such as meeting with the student council and clubs around campus.
All in all, Schubert is very grateful that she came back to Radford, and she wishes new students well. A word of advice from her is, “Enjoy your time on-and off campus: Hawai’i has many different things to experience– go out and try some new foods, and sights. One day, you will be able to look back and remember the memories you created on this tiny, yet resilient island that many of us call home.”
As students read those words, they should remember them and try their hardest this school year.
