The annual Halloween Noon Hour was full of fun activities for Rams to participate in on Oc. 31 during lunch at the center stage. The event emcees, Junior Alema Tu’umalo and Junior Seagull Kabua hosted the costume trivia where students participated in rapid-fire trivia with questions relating to Halloween, dressing up and pop culture. The costume contest included categories such as groups/pairs, most creative, funniest and scariest. Sophomore Sofia Dominguez was the winner for “most creative” for her homemade moth costume. The winners for the “group costume” were CTE Teacher Keoki Tudela, Senior Arsenal Bolosan, Senior Aubry Benjamin, and Senior Ethan Tubania who were dressed up as various types of sushi.
In the “teachers” category teachers Tehani Ching, Karina Polo, Brittney Hamilton, and Troy Okamoto, won with their “Inside Out” costumes.
Other winners included students dressed up as Peter Griffin in the “funniest” category and the Joker in the “scariest” category. The winners for this contest were given goodie bags filled with Radford merch, flowers, candy, and more. Not only were the winners gifted goodie bags but the participants were also given treats for partaking in the contest.
“Everyone’s costumes were really nice, my favorite was Magic Mike,” said Senior Aaliyah Cobenatoro when asked about her thoughts about seeing people’s costumes at school.
Lastly there was a selfie station set up for Rams to document their Halloween costumes for 2024.
Along with the costume contest being held on the stage even students that weren’t participating in the event were dressed up as various things to show their love for the holiday. Kenny from South Park, cowgirls, and characters from Alvin and the Chipmunks were just a few of the costumes that were seen across the school.
