Julie Matsumoto is the school’s newest library assistant.
Prior to coming to Radford, Matsumoto worked at a Leeward district school library and taught for nine years at Aliamanu Elementary.
Outside of work, her hobbies include “watching current movies for the very young people and teenagers.”
She said that the most exciting thing that she did this summer was visiting the Maui Ocean Center and seeing other parts of the island.
Matsumoto spent the first month of school meeting hundreds of students when she checked out textbooks to them.
“Your students are great to work with,” Matsumoto said. “I have enjoyed meeting your students and seeing their enthusiasm to learn new things.”
During her short time at the school, Matsumoto said, “I enjoy being on staff here at Radford High School.”
